Introduction
Welcome to SACCS; specialists in residential therapeutic treatments for children who occupy the very apex of the Specialist Services sector having suffered severe early life traumas including neglect; sexual, physical and mental abuse.
SACCS is a highly focused team of professionals devoted to providing treatments to children between the ages of 4-12 on admission throughout the SACCS Recovery Programme.
This fully integrated Programme has been developed over many years and includes Therapeutic Parenting; Therapy; Life Story and Family Placement. Additionally Education; Contact; and Health are included as key areas of well-being and safe-keeping.
The SACCS Recovery Programme has a developed Treatment model and is reconciled to the 5 Every Child Matters Outcomes and the 7 Core Aims of Wales through our Recovery Matrix.
0.5% of the Looked after Children population or 1 child in every 200 has been identified as the group who would benefit most from the SACCS Recovery Programme. SACCS offers a no-obligation Pre-Admission Assessment as part of the enquiry procedure to support Local Authorities through the difficult and extremely challenging process of placement matching. Additionally, we offer guidance from our own extensive demographic research to highlight the numbers of children who would fit this profile in each regional population.
For those seeking to learn more about our practice, SACCS Publications offer further insight into our work. Each book is designed to provide more information of our services whilst offering those in further study the benefit of additional reference material in the form of many years of acculumated knowledge gained from experiences in the field of childcare.
If you would like more information regarding a future with the SACCS team, please access our Recruitment page, where the latest opportunities are presented. All SACCS practitioners embark on a two-year fully-funded Foundation Degree programme, in partnership with Glyndŵr University. This programme of learning is essential to equip each member of staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake the challenging work of delivering recovery.
